Tour the tasks list
Who this is for: Anyone who needs to see their own tasks or their team’s tasks
Time to complete: 1 minute
The Tasks page is where every task you can see in CLX lives — your own assignments, tasks you’ve assigned to others, and (with the right permissions) tasks across the whole organization.
Steps
1. Open the Tasks page
From the sidebar, click Tasks. The grid shows every task you have permission to see.
The Tasks list page
The page has five regions you’ll use regularly:
The title bar across the top — shows the page name and the + New Task button on the right
The search box — free-text search across task ID and type
The view toggle and three-dot grid menu — switch between grid and list view, change columns, apply filters, export
The grid itself — every row is a task; click anywhere on a row to open it
The pager at the bottom — how many rows per page and which page you’re on
2. Search tasks
Type in the Search tasks box to narrow the list.
The search box
Search runs automatically about half a second after you stop typing. For anything more specific — a parent contract, an assignee, a due-date range — open the filter panel from the three-dot menu.
3. Create a new task
Click + New Task in the top-right to open the task drawer. See Create a task for the full walkthrough.
The New Task button
If you don’t see the button, you’re in read-only mode — ask your administrator about task-create permission.
4. Move through long lists with the pager
At the bottom of the grid, the pager shows the current range and total. Use the page numbers or arrows to jump forward or back.
The pager at the bottom of the grid
The default page size is 100 rows. A dropdown next to the arrows lets you change it.
Tips
Clicking anywhere on a row (Task ID, Task Type, Assigned To, Due Date) opens the task drawer.
Column headers are sortable — click once for ascending, again for descending.
The three-dot grid menu has Columns (show/hide), Filters, and Export to Excel/PDF.
The view toggle icon on the right of the search row switches between the default spreadsheet-style grid and a card-based list view. See Switch between grid and list view.
