Tasks- How to Switch between grid and list view
Who this is for: Anyone working through a long list of tasks who prefers a card-style layout over the spreadsheet grid
Time to complete: 5 seconds
The Tasks page has two renderings. The grid is dense and good for scanning. The list is card-based and easier to read on smaller screens or when each task has a lot of text.
Steps
1. Start in the default grid view
The grid is what you see when you open the Tasks page. Each row is a task.
The grid view
2. Click the view-toggle icon
To the right of the search box, there’s an icon that toggles between views — a 3x3 grid when you’re on the list, and a horizontal-lines icon when you’re on the grid.
The view toggle button
Click it once.
3. The list view renders
The grid is replaced with a card-based layout — one card per task, with more context visible in each row.

4. Switch back
Click the icon again to return to the grid view.
Tips
Your choice doesn’t persist — re-open the Tasks page and you’ll land on the grid. (If your team prefers the list view by default, file a request with your CLX administrator.)
Both views share the same search box and filters. Switching views doesn’t reset what you’ve filtered to.
The list view tends to be more helpful for task types with long descriptions; the grid is better for dense portfolios where you’re scanning by due date or assignee.
