Check Your Watch List

Written by Sara Doutt

Check your Watch List

Who this is for: Anyone who wants to follow records they don’t own

Time to complete: 30 seconds

The Watch List lets you keep an eye on contracts, organizations, or people you’re not the owner of — useful for legal counsel monitoring a counterparty, an executive tracking a strategic deal, or anyone who wants notifications when a record changes.

Steps

1. Find the Watch List tile

On the home page, scroll to the Your Actions panel. The third tile is Watch List, with a count of how many records you’re watching.

2. Open the slide-out

Click the tile. CLX opens a slide-out on the right side of the screen with every record you’re watching.

Records are grouped by type (contracts, organizations, people) so you can scan to the category you care about. Each row shows the record name, type, and last-updated date. This slide-out includes the contract name and version number, the counterparty, stage, status, and the latest completion/pending date.

3. Open or stop watching a record

From the slide-out you can:

  • Click any record to open its full page

  • Stop watching a record from the record’s own page (look for the Watching toggle in the header, it looks like an eye)

How records get on your Watch List

You add a record to your Watch List from the record’s own page — not from the home page. Open any contract, organization, or person and click the Watch (or eye) icon in the page header. The record appears here immediately.

Tips

  • The Watch List is personal — only you see your list.

  • Watching a record does not give you any extra permissions. If you can’t already see a field, watching the record won’t reveal it.

  • Use Watch List for records you check periodically. For records you need to act on, create a task instead.
